Betty J. Hart, 68, Loyal, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012, at her home. A memorial service was held at 11:30 a.m., on Wednesday, May 9, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal. Rev. Daniel Zimmerman officiated.

 

Betty Jane Ann Dassow was born on March 4, 1944, in Medford, the daughter of Elmer and Lorain (nee Olson) Dassow. She was raised on the family farm in the town of Greenwood, rural Medford, and received her education in the Medford area schools. She married Beryl Hart on May 12, 1962, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford. They moved to Marshfield in 1963, where she worked for a time as a cook and at Figi’s but mostly was a homemaker, Mother and wife. They moved to Loyal in 1981, and resided there until her death. She was a member of the Clark County Homemakers, and had many interests, but especially loved playing cards (500 Rummy, Kings Corners, Cribbage) bingo, crafts, gardening, collecting wind chimes, Garage sales, Auctions and jigsaw puzzles.

 

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Beryl, Loyal; five children, David Hart, Menomonie, Rosemarie (Paul) Salzwedel, Marshfield, Dennis Hart, Marshfield, Rita (Larry Jr.) Schreiner, Stratford, and Donald (Lori) Hart, Granton; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her mother, Lorrain Dassow, Medford; one sister, Ruth Dassow, Dorchester; and one brother, Norman C. (Judy) Dassow, Medford.

 

She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Daniel, in infancy; and one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hart.
