George W. Courter, 75, of the town of
Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the Stanley Hospital on Monday
afternoon, May 1, 1961, of uremic poisoning. He had spent the past forty years
operating his present farm in Reseburg.
The deceased was born on Oct. 23,
1876 in the Town of Worden (Clark Co.) and spent all of his life and around
Thorp.
On July 21, 1912 he was united in marriage to Edith Dudansky in
Reseburg, who survives him. Also left to mourn are on son, Roland Courter, R. 3,
Thorp, three daughters, Mildred, Mrs. Allen of Cleveland, Ohio, Evelyn, Mrs.
Joseph Welciek, Greenwood, Wis., and Joyce, Mrs. Norman Johnson, Eau Claire,
Wis. Three children and six grandchildren preceded him in death.
Funeral
services were conducted by Harold Miller at the Hoeper & Kraut Funeral Home in
Owen on May 3rd, and interment followed at the Sylvan Cemetery in Reseburg.
Pallbearers were Dewy Williams, Stanley Lendosky, Elmer Sachs, Leo Sokolowski,
Lester Butterfield, and Wally Maricle.
