Lautenbach, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar (Golden -12 August 1966)

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lautenbach of Loganville, who were married 50 years ago August 12, were honored on their golden wedding anniversary Saturday at the home of their son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lautenbach, of Rt. 2 Granton.

A social afternoon was held and five o’clock supper was served to 100 guests at the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant. Open house was held at the Ralph Sternitzky home in the evening for friends and former neighbors.

Mr. and Mrs. Lautenbach are the parents of four sons and two daughters, all of whom attended the celebration. They include: Mrs. Leland (Beatrice) Schultz of Reedsburg; Mrs. Burdett (Elaine) Paulson of Butler; Dale of West Allis; Donald of Milwaukee; and Richard of Hillpoint. There are 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. All but three of the grandchildren were present. They were Jerald Lautenbach, who is with the Air Force in Texas; and Catherine and Lois Lautenbach.

Oscar Lautenbach, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Lautenbach of the Town of Grant, was born on the home farm March 14, 1892. He attended the old Roder School.

Mrs. Lautenbach, the former Catherine Seltrecht, is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Seltrecht, and was born August 6, 1896, in Milwaukee. She received her education there. In 1912 she came to Clark County with her parents. On August 12, 1916, she was united in marriage to Oscar Lautenbach in the Lutheran Church in Nasonville. The Rev. William Viergutz was the minister.

Their attendants were the late Arthur Lautenbach, Mrs. E. J. (Nell Dorst) Shellman of Oconto Falls, William Seltrecht of West Bend, and Mrs. Carl (Nelda Lautenbach) Garbisch of Granton. The three living attendants were present for the anniversary.

Following their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Lautenbach operated a dairy farm in the Town of Grant. They moved to Milwaukee in 1952 and from there to Loganville in 1962.
