Hoesly’s Are Home (European Tour -18 August 1966)
Mr.
and Mrs. J. H. Hoesly returned home Friday evening from a 21-day tour of Europe.
They visited London, England, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy
and France and two principalities, Liechtenstein and Monaco.
Highlight
of the trip was a visit with Mrs. Al Covell of Wiesbaden, Germany, formerly of
Neillsville and a classmate of Mr. Hoesly. Mrs. Covell came to Frankfort to
visit two hours with them. There also was a meeting with a cousin of Mr. Hoesly,
the only living relatives of the Hoesly family still residing in Switzerland.
They traveled with her through part of Switzerland one evening and day.
At Altdorf, Switzerland, they visited Miss Yvonne Brunner, the AFS student, who
will attend Neillsville High School next year. Miss Brunner will make her home
with the Dale Short family in rural Granton. They also visited Miss Brunner’s
parents and brother.
