Mrs. A.M. Blakeley was taken to the Marshfield
hospital Monday morning and operated on for appendicitis.
Mrs. Jake
Hoffman, who was operated on last week, seems to be getting along quite nicely.
Town of Fremont will have no license beginning July 1st, 8 majority for no
license.
Joe Florence bought the place of Geo. Waterman and has moved
into the house.
Now that election is over let us settle down to business
and forget about it.

A meeting will be held a
week from this Thursday at the M.E. Church for the purpose of organizing for the
Memorial Day exercises. Everybody is invited to take part.
The lumber
yard is filling up with lumber and shingles. Mr. Samson, who is managing the
yard, has moved into the Wm. Neinas house.
A.W. Wendorf has commenced to
move his house this week.
While this country and Germany are in a state
of war it is our duty as citizens to stand by this country. It is, to say the
least, not wise at the present time to criticize our country, our army and our
government. It will put a wrong impression into the mind of foreign countries,
contrary to the good and best interest of our country and liable to do harm to
the very people that don’t know enough to control their passion and tongue. Let
us unite while the times are serious and conditions become graver every day.
Calvin Muir bought the Ridder place at Nasonville this week.
Ernest
Neinas will take possession of H. Henning’s house the first day of May.
The Equity shipped some hogs, cattle and calves this week. Al Snow will ship
next week.
Ernest Montag rented the Herman Koser place and has moved into
the house Tuesday.
