Pekol, Judith Ann (Marriage - 20
August 1966)
The altar of Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard was
graced with baskets of yellow and white gladioli August 20, for a double ring
ceremony uniting in marriage Miss Judith Ann Pekol, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Stanley Pekol, Sr., of Willard, and Richard L. Jensen of Wausau, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Leonard Jensen of Rt. 1 Withee.
The bride wore a floor length lace
gown, richly embellished with iridescent sequins. The molded lace bodice was
styled with a scalloped Sabrina neckline and long sleeves, tapering to points at
the wrists. The bouffant skirt featured a lace peplum front above two ruffled
tiers of nylon tulle and border lace gleaming with sequins. The back of the
skirt was of ruffled tiers of tulle and lace. A fingertip veil flowed from the
center of a pearl and sequin crown. She carried a bouquet of glamilia, pink
roses and camellia leaf foliage.
Mrs. Beverly Dann of Washington D. C.
was her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Carol Pekol of Wausau and Mrs.
Sarah Pekol of Willard. They wore floor length sheath style dresses in Nile
green crepe, styled with a back panel. A ruffle framed the elbow length sleeves
of lace and the braided nylon modified Empire bodices. They carried fan-shaped
bouquets of yellow roses with streamers of yellow rosebuds.
The groom
was attended by Edward Jensen of Wausau as bestman. Groomsmen were James and
Stanley Pekol of Willard. Ushers were Robert Pernic of Highwood, Ill., and
Jerald Richmond of Greenwood.
