Ziegler, Sandra
Kay (Marriage - 27 August 1966)
Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Globe, was the setting for the wedding last Saturday of Miss Sandra Kay Ziegler,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ziegler of Willard, and Peter Michael Shirley of
Rt. 1 Granton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Shirley of Humbird. The Rev. David Witte
officiated at the double ring ceremony. The congregation, accompanied by Mrs.
Alice Wegner at the organ, sang, “The Lord is My Shepherd.”
Miss Ziegler
wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta. A scalloped Sabrina
neckline topped the fitted bodice. The full skirt was caught up at center front
to reveal several ruffled tiers at the hemline, the back being completed with a
lace Watteau train attached to the shoulderline. Her bouffant illusion veil was
secured to a queen’s crown of pearls and aurora borealis crystals. She carried a
cascade arrangement of white glamilia, pink roses and stephanotis.
Serving as bridal aides, were Marea Shirley of Humbird, the maid of honor, and
Mrs. Dale Northup of Chicago, Ill., bridesmaid.
The groom’s attendants
were James Raine of Neillsville, bestman; Dale Northup of Chicago, Ill.,
groomsman; Ronnie and Wendell Ziegler, ushers.
The bride has been
employed as a secretary at the Winnebago Children’s home. Mr. Shirley is engaged
in truck driving.
On their return from a wedding trip to Illinois and
Indiana Mr. and Mrs. Shirley will reside on E. 9th Street, Neillsville.
