Mrs. Adela Schumacher accompanied
Dr. and Mrs. Victor Tharp and family of Granton to Minneapolis, Minn., Sunday
for a visit with Dr. and Mrs. Robert Schumacher and family. Dr. and Mrs. Tharp
and Mrs. Schumacher and Dr. Olson of La Crosse were sponsors for Bethany Sue,
infant daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Schumacher, who was baptized Sunday in Woodlake
Lutheran Church. Margaret Tharp, who had spent a week at the Schumacher home in
Minneapolis, returned with her parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bedell and
family spent the weekend camping at Rock Dam.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Schiesel and daughter, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Schiesel, left early
Saturday morning for Marinette, where they attended the wedding of a relative.
They returned home Sunday.
Mrs. John Schiesel returned home Thursday
from Marshfield, where she visited her mother, Mrs. William Scheller.
Mr.
and Mrs. Rodney Johnson and son of Capron, Ill., were guests last Thursday of
the Rev. and Mrs. E. G. Burtness.
The Good Neighbors Homemaker club met
recently at the home of Mrs. Elmer Erickson. Sunday evening members treated
their husbands to a night out.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Johnson, and his
mother, Mrs. Roy Johnson of Neillsville, visited with Mrs. Roy Johnson’s mother,
who is a hospital patient in Eau Claire. From there they drove to Colfax to
visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy King and family. Mrs. King and Mrs. Roy
Johnson are sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Erickson and daughter, Lynne, of
Danville, Ill., spent a week recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George
Erickson. They also visited with Pat and Victor Lautenbach.
Misses Janie
and Irene Meier visited Sunday with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Embke. In the afternoon they visited their grandmother, Mrs. Christine Meier,
and Claire Christman in Memorial Home.
Bruce Carl of Kenosha was an
overnight gust Friday of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Carl, in Washburn. He
left Saturday afternoon to spend the remainder of the weekend with friends in
Madison.
