Mr. and
Mrs. Otto Hantke left on yesterday morning’s early train for Tourna, Neb., in
response to news of her mother death there.
A kitchen shower for Miss
Genevieve Homestock and Tony Lezotte Wednesday evening was largely attended and
a very enjoyable affair reported. The wedding is set for April 24th.
Wm.
West Sr. is as yet at the Marshfield hospital, although steadily improving.
Wm. West Jr. visited his father at the Marshfield hospital Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Carter are moving to Crandon. Mr. Carter is in failing health
and unable to assume the duties of his farm here.
A farewell surprise
party was given Mr. and Mrs. Carter on Saturday night.
Chas. Hall has
rented the Carter farm.
The Lon Huckstead home is being improved with new
hardwood floors, which are being laid this week.
