On Friday last, Claudie Booth, while playing and
gathering flowers near the Catholic church with some of her playmates, got near
the kennel of Nick Sellinske’s dog, when the dog jumped and grabbed her hand,
lacerating both front and back in a frightful manner.
If the dog had
been loose or the child nearer the kennel there is not telling how badly she
might have been hurt.
There is not sense of anybody keeping as savage a
dog as that in this country, or any other, for that matter, but as he keeps him
chained up at home, we suppose he has a right to.
