Jacques, William H. (? - 14 September 1966)

William H. Jacques, 79, of Prescott, formerly of Neillsville, died September 14 at his winter home in Miami, Fla., where he had been readying the home for winter occupancy.

Funeral services were held Monday with a requiem mass from the Catholic Church in Prescott. Burial was made in Prescott.

Mr. Jacques, a well-known seed corn raiser and dealer, began his career on the farm now owned by Henry Naedler just north of Neillsville. In 1932, the Jacques family moved to Prescott, where he was a hybrid seed corn producer, one of the largest in the mid-west.

Mr. Jacques is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters. His two sons, George and Carl will continue operation of the business.
