Stucki, Henry W. (31 May 1903 - 24 September
1966)
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Henry W. Stucki,
63, of Neillsville, who died Saturday at his home. The Rev. W. C. Koehler and
Rev. Jacob Grether officiated at services from the United Church of Christ in
Neillsville. Burial was made in the Indian Mission Cemetery, near Black River
Falls.
Mr. Stucki was born May 31, 1903, at the Indian Mission. His
parents were the late Jacob and Johanna (Reineck) Stucki. He received his
education at the Mission School and attended Mission House Academy at Plymouth
for a year. He worked for several years as a carpenter in Youngstown, O.
After returning to Neillsville Mr. Stucki worked at the Indian School and
taught manual training there. He held several offices in the church. He retired
from active work about a year ago due to failing health. On March 23, 1937, he
was married to the former Irma Olm in Waukon, Ia.
Mr. Stucki is survived
by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Erma) Markus of Kewaskum; a son, John J.
Stucki of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Grether of Neillsville, Mrs.
Lydia Bopp and Mrs, Johanna Spire, both of Youngstown, O.; A brother, Dr. J. C.
Stucki of San Luis, Colo.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements
were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Elliot Warlum,
Ellis Wall, William Schulz, Robert Shaw, Martin Lowe and the Rev. Mitchell
Whiterabbit. Honorary pallbearers were: Joe Zimmerman, Mike Krultz, Jr., Marvin
Marg, William Simek, Martin Feuerstein, Thomas Flynn, John Stacy, Jr., and Fred
E. Wall.
Those officiating at the service included: The Reverends W. C.
Koehler, Jacob Grether, Chester Ploeger and Mitchell Whiterabbit. “How Great
Thou Art,” was sung by Mrs. W. C. Koehler, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

Mrs. Louise Ellingson and Mrs. Ida Carl of Greenwood; Mrs. Tillie Buker, Skipper
