Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Piesker and Frank Kokula of
Catawba were the guests of Principal and Mrs. Robert Olson Sunday.
Principal Robert Olson and Leonard Summerfeldt drove over to Menominee, Dunn,
county, Saturday, where they attended a meeting called by the state department
and was presided over by Prof. Sassman of the department of vocational
education.
Principal Robert Olson attended a meeting of principals in
this district at Colby Wednesday evening.
Miss Ruth Graves, teacher in
the grammar room at school, spent the weekend with her mother and brother living
at Wausau.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hause of Colby were guests of Howard’s
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hause Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Franklin
Terrio and family known by most of our residents, who have been residing at St.
Paul, are moving their home to a new location in Tennessee.
Miss Esther
Hebert, R. N., of St. Paul spent the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave
Hebert, Miss Esther brought the cheering news that her sister, Miss Genevieve,
who recently underwent a serious operation at the hospital, was doing nicely and
was on the road to recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Steinke and son, Dale
was guests of relatives at Curtiss Sunday. They also visited a lumber camp in
northern Clark county where 22 men are employed getting cut logs for the Roddis
Veneer Co. of Marshfield. This was one of the few sections of virgin hardwood
timber in Clark county.
Herman Vogt and Gilbert Wiedenheaft drove to
Chippewa Falls Monday where they transacted business.
Kenneth Bronkhorst
and Maynard Dallman, town of Unity, left with the Clark county draftees for Fort
Sheridan Ill., Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Binning and Mr. and Mrs. Rudy
Anderson of Marshfield drove to St. Paul last Saturday morning and spent the
week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Earl and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Binning.
Mrs.
John Olson and daughter Laura, of Abbotsford and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Larson and
family of town of Brighton were guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Feit Sunday at
dinner.
