FUNERAL SERVICES FOR GUSTAV WACHHOLZ HELD
Gustav Wachholz was
born in West Prossen, Germany, in 1856 and came to this country when he was 7
years of age. He resided on a farm near Westfield, Wis. and was married there in
1881 to Miss Emma Stanke of Princeton. Six children were born to them, two of
whom preceded him in death, Mrs. (Minnie) Zielsdorf of the town of Spencer and
Herbert in childhood. Those left to mourn his death are Henry Wachholz of
Spencer; George of Granton; Walter of Westfield and Mrs. Emil (Clara) Kietzmann
of Randolph, at whose home he passed away Monday, Feb. 23, while apparently in
good health. Mrs. Wachholz died Sept. 19, 1931, at which time they were living
in Spencer in the home which Mr. Wachholz still owns.
Funeral services
were held at Westfield Feb. 26 and burial took place from the Lutheran church in
the town of Springfield. Besides the three sons and one daughter, surviving are
18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; two brothers, Wm. Wachholz of
Westfield and Ewald Wachholz of St. Louis, Mo.
