NORTH SPENCER

A number from this vicinity attended the auction at the Alfred Vanderhoof farm last Thursday.

Geo. Hayward has a bottle-gas range installed in his home Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Corbett and Beulah Bombard were at Marshfield Saturday.

Mrs. Arthur Phillips attended the missionary meeting at the home of Mrs. Shirley Hoftiezer Friday.

Wm. Weis and Albert Hoff transacted business at Wausau Saturday morning.

The board of audit of the town of Spencer met Tuesday to audit books. The committee was A. C. Elliott, Arthur Phillips and F. C. Corbett.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hoff were recent callers at the Wm. Kobs home.

This vicinity was well represented at the caucus held Friday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Corbett attended church at Marshfield Sunday. A number were confirmed. Bishop Harwood Sturtevant of Fond du Lac was present and gave a very interesting sermon.

Wm. Kobs, who has held the office of town treasurer for several years, refused the nomination stating he intended removing from the town of Spencer and locating in the village.

Wm. Weis has been appointed fire marshal and F. C. Corbett assistant for the town of Spencer.
