Last Thursday,
November 12, Miss Gladys Marie Snyder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Snyder
and Fred W. Saeger Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Saeger Sr., all of this city
(Wisconsin Rapids), were united in marriage, Rev. F. H. Kretzschmar performing
the ceremony at 2:30 at the Church.
The bride was attended by her
sisters, Misses Grace and Ida Snyder and the groom was attended by Emil Saeger
and Harold Reiman.
The bride wore light blue canton crepe with silver
lace and veil and her attendants wore navy blue satin crepe and tan canton crepe
respectively.
The bird’s home, where the wedding supper was served, was
prettily decorated in pink and white.
Previous to her marriage, Mrs.
Saeger taught school at Dorchester, Wisconsin. She attended Lincoln high school
and also the Wood county normal, graduating form the latter school in 1923.
The young couple will make their home with the groom’s parents on Third
street south.
Seventy-five guests were present. Out of town guests were
Nick Engel of Dorchester and Mr. and Mrs. C. Voight of Mechan Station.
