Fourth of July this year comes on Sunday.

The sawmills in this section shut down Monday, on account of rain.

Decoration Day, next year, will be observed at Phillips by the Posts on the line.

Attend the strawberry, Ice Cream, Cake, etc., sociable at F. Brott’s Wednesday evening.

R. B. Salter had a wire fence put around his three-acre farm on the east side last week.

Have you tried that 40 cent tea at J. E. Borden & Co.’s? Just try it, as it is the boss.

Some of the boys pulled the engine out Sunday afternoon and sprinkles a good portion of Division Street.

C. A. Driese has a sidewalk laid last week leading from his saloon on Front Street to the depot. Henry Seigrist and Red Roth were the architects.

The town boards of Hull and Colby let a job of building a bridge across Dill Creek on the county line road to A. J. Preston. Consideration, $217.

John Byers has sold his farm, four miles east of town of $1,650. We have not learned what John intends to do but hope he will remain in this vicinity.

Miss Ella Bruneau of Wausau and Miss Stella Desert of Mosinee are among the young ladies who graduate at the Milwaukee Female College this month.
