Marathon-Clark Co-op Shows Good Year
at Annual Meet
The twelfth annual meeting of the Marathon-Clark
Cooperative Dairy Association was held on Tuesday evening.
Reports
showed the past year as one of the best in all the years of the organization.
There are now 182 patrons and business transacted amounted to $372, 390.09.
Of this amount the value in cheese was $282,797.22; whey and cream,
$32,985.32, and service and other returns, $9,422.32.
The factory
handled 11,606.578 pounds of milk from which 1,170,836 pounds of cheese were
made, most of which was purchased by the government.
The same officers
were re-elected from the coming year: Andrew Vogel, town of Halsey, president;
Walter Lipprandt, Atwood, vice president; and Helmuth Wirth, town of Holton,
secretary-treasurer.
Francis Scherer is general manager of the plant.
