Binning, Katie M. (10 APR 1990 - 30 MAY 2012)

Katie M. Binning, age 22, of Abbotsford, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 30, 2012, due to a car accident in Madison.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 4, 2012, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford from 4 to 8 p.m. A visitation will also be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church in Abbotsford.

Katie was born April 10, 1990, to Gary and Joyce (Myszka) Binning in Marshfield.

She was a 2008 graduate of Abbotsford High School. Katie was a 2012 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelors Degree in Arts and Education.

Katie, while attending UW-Platteville, was president of the Art Club. She also ran cross country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track. She was a two time NCAA Scholar Athlete won numerous awards.

Katie is survived by her parents, Gary and Joyce Binning of Abbotsford; her sister, Kelly Binning of Abbotsford; and her paternal grandparents, Clifford and Joan Binning of Marshfield.

She is further survived by her aunts and uncles, Sister Mary Ursula Myszka of Chicago, Ken (Kathy) Myszka of Waupaca, Sister Mary Carlotta Myszka of Connecticut, Jim (Marlene) Myszka of Edgar, Betty (Dr. Dan) Miskulin of Stetsonville, Glenn (Sharon) Myszka of Athens, Gerald (Ronda) Myszka of Athens, Cynthia (Eric) Drewek of Stevens Point, Randall (Patty) Myszka of Edgar and Donna (Dale) Andrew of Rosellville; many cousins, and close dearest friends especially, Amelia Michlig and Dani Writz.

Katie is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leo and Theresa Myszka; her brother, Greg, in infancy; and cousin, Noel, in infancy.

The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
