Riedel, Annie (22 DEC 1833 - 17 APR 1917)

Mrs. Annie Riedel, widow of the late David Riedel, an old resident of the town of Lynn (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, April 17th, 1917 at the home of her son Charles. Deceased was born in Germany and with her young husband came to this country soon after their marriage, settling first at Cedarburg, Wis. Deceased was 83 years, 4 months and 27 days old. She was widowed by the death of her husband David Riedel some 20 years since. The funeral will be held this Friday afternoon, leaving the home soon after 12 noon thence to the Mapleworks Church where the sermon by Rev. M. Hasz will be given, and interment will be made in the Lynn Cemetery beside the grave of her late husband and 2 children, a girl of 3 years and a boy of 8 who have gone on before. She is survived by four sons, Charlie, Gus and Herman, all of the town of Lynn and Henry whose whereabouts are unknown, by two daughters, Mrs. Clemens Montag of Lynn and Mrs. Annie Garbush of Neillsville.

Deceased came to her death through advanced age and a several weeks siege of la grippe. The pallbearers were chosen from among their old friends and neighbors and David Garbush, Wm. Wischuelke, Henry Winter, Gus Beilke, Geo. Schaller and Henry Sternitzky.
