Pleasant Ridge (29 OCT 1914)
Rev. Coleman has been
assigned to the pastorate here this year and will hold services every Sunday
now.
Mrs. Elmer Selves attended church here Sunday.
Clarion
Counsell and Harold Huckstead returned Friday from their Iowa trip. They had a
fine time.
Arlo Huckstead and George Wilding and their wives took John
Vine and wife, Mrs. Lon Huckstead and Mrs. Jim King to Merrillan one day last
week.
Bernice Baker of Levis spent the weekend with Florence Huckstead.
Mrs. Lizzie Hills spent most of last week with friends in Neillsville.
Lydia Slocomb came out from Neillsville Saturday night for a two weeks visit
with her sister, Mrs. Geo. West.
Wm. Dous is home from his visit to St.
Paul.
Henry Huckstead and daughter spent a few days of this week at Lon
Hackstead’s.
Henry Carter, Fred Vine, and Arlo Huckstead and their
families autoed to Hatfield Saturday to fish, but failed to get any.

and Clara Jahr of Granton spent Sunday at Frank Drescher’s.
Irma Wilding
spent a day of last week with Aleada Brown.
Daphan Blackman spent this
week with her grandmother.
Dell Rodman and wife of Neillsville and Joe
Counsell and wife spent Sunday with Ed. Selves and wife.
Lewis Marg
finished his work at O.E. Counsell’s Saturday and went home Sunday. They will
get along without a man this winter.
