Lucht, Charles (13 JULY 1885-24 APRIL 1960)
Charles Lucht, 74, Spencer Rt. 2 died of a heart attack at his home at 3:15
p.m. Sunday.
Services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 p.m.
Wednesday and burial was in the Loyal Cemetery. The Rev. Virgil Ganz officiated.
The body rested in state at the Myre Funeral Home and was taken to the church at
noon Wednesday.
Charles Lucht was born at Braddock, Penn., June 13, 1885.
He came as a child with his parents to a farm at Athens. A few years later the
family moved to a farm at Spokeville where he has since resided.
He was
married to Elsa Oestreich October 12, 1910 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
He
was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. At one time he served as a member of
the Spokeville school board.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters,
Mrs. Pat (Elaine) Bertz and Mrs. Dale (Ruth) Weyhmiller, Loyal & by one son,
Gerhardt, of Spencer. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, one brother, Art
of Spencer, and four sisters, Mrs. Alfred Oestreich and Mrs. William Fisher of
Spencer, Mrs. Gust Voight of Loyal, and Mrs. Ed Zuehlke of Oshkosh.
One
brother and one sister preceded him in death. His mother, Mrs. Charles Lucht,
Sr., died the past winter, Feb. 5, 1960, at the age of 96.
