Blessed Sacrament Catholic
Church in St. Paul, Minn., was the scene of the 9 a.m. wedding, Saturday, April
23, of Miss Darlene Catherine Henry, daughter of Mrs. Katheryn Henry and Mr.
Martin H. Henry of St. Paul, and John J. Annen, son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Annen of Loyal. Father Lawrence Keller officiated. Music was provived by the
Church Choir.
As Miss Henry approached the flower decked altar with her
father she wore a gown of embroidered slik organza over satin. Her French
illusion finger-tip veil was caught to a Swedish crown of pearls and she carried
white orchids and red roses.
Mrs. Ordner C. Opsahl, sister of the bride,
was her matron of honor. She wore a gown of white embroidered nylon with a mint
green cummerbund and sash. Her flowers were pink carnations and roses.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Ronalla and Mrs. Patricia Tschida. Their gowns and
flowers were like those of the matron of honor. The three attendants were from
St. Paul. Sandra Tachida was flower girl and Martin Opsdahl was ring bearer.
Thomas R. Annen of Loyal served as his brother’s best man and groomsman were
Richard Temple and Robert Ronalla of St. Paul.
A wedding breakfast and
reception were given at V.F.W. club at N. St. Paul.
The bride is a
graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy, St. Paul and is employed as secretary to
Harold E, Ruttenburg, Attorney at Law, St. Paul.
The groom is dockman at
St. Paul. He attended Loyal schools and spent four years with the U.S. Air
Force.
The bride’s mother wore a blue silk gown and blue accessories and
the grooms mother wore beige taffeta with beige accessories.
When the new
Mr. and Mrs. Annen return from a wedding trip to northern Minnesota and
Wisconsin, they will make their home in St. Paul.
