Rick Allen Kops, 46, of
Green Bay WI passed away on June 5, 2012 surrounded by his family at Froedtert
Hospital’s Neuro Intensive Care Unit in Milwaukee, due to a brain aneurysm.
Friends and family are welcome to join us in a Celebration of Rick’s Life at
2:30 pm Saturday, June 16th at the American Legion in Unity, WI.
Rick
was born in Marshfield WI on April 4, 1966 to Sharon (Kilty) and Richard Kops.
He grew up in Unity and attended Colby High School.
Rick was a an
ambitious entrepreneur and had several business adventures during his short time
with us. His most recent adventure was owning and operating the Hide Out Bar in
Green Bay until late of 2010.
Rick married his long time girlfriend, Ann
Tanneberg on April 22, 2006. They later divorced.
Rick is survived by his
parents, Sharon (Donald) Smart and Richard (Rose Laessig) Kops, all of Colby.
Son, James Dean Pemble and grand daughter Vanessa Pemble of Marshfield.
He is survived by his two brothers: Donald Kops of Eau Claire, and Matthew
(Jenna) Kops and their children-Madison, Samantha, and Mia, of Stetsonville.
Rick is survived by four sisters: Shari Kops of Wausau, Tara (Jayce) Abel and
their children Briana, Brenna, Brooke and Britni. Noelle (Jeff Salter) Kops and
their children Jakob, Garrett, and Davis. Darcy (James) Plaskey and their
children Madison, Gabriella, Ryder, and Diesel.
Rick also leaves behind
his maternal grandparents, Donald and Virginia (Fleishman) Kilty of Abbotsford
and his special friend Tonya Kotanen of Green Bay.
Paternal Grandparents
Lester and Lillian (Widmer) Kops, preceded him in death.
