BRIGHTON CORNERS

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cramer
accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Bruesewitz on a trip to the southern part of the
state over the Labor Day holidays. Janesville, Darlington and Elk Grove were
among the places visited.
The Brighton Busy Bees 4-H club exhibited
sewing, home improvement and poultry at the Marshfield fair. The following
members received prizes, Cylinda and Darleen Schwantes, Ermine Cramer, Marilyn
Korth, Velere and Kathryn Phillips and Henry Neumann. Cylinda Schwantes received
5th place in the dress revue Monday afternoon. The club will meet at the home of
Kathryn Phillips Sept. 25 at which time all members must bring their record
books. The books must be completed at this time.
Mrs. Arthur Phillips
acted as election clerk at the spencer town hall Tuesday.
A large number of
friends and relatives tendered a miscellaneous shower in honor of Wilma Bruss
and Norman Krause at the Herman Krause home Friday evening. Bunco was played at
which Mrs. Meynard Neumann received high honors; Mrs. Louis Cramer second and
Wilma Bruss low. Many lovely gifts were received and a lunch was served late in
the evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Krause entertained a large number of
relatives Sunday afternoon in honor of their son, Norman, and Miss Wilma Bruss
who will be married Saturday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran church in Spencer.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schwantes entertained the following guests Sunday: Mr.
and Mrs. George Schwantes Sr. and family of Sauk City, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Schwantes and family of Merrimac; Mr. and Mrs. Chas Griepentrog, Herman
Schwantes and Mr. and Mrs. George Schwantes Jr. and family.
Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Korth were supper guests at the Ernest Korth home Sunday.
A son was
born to Mr. and Mrs. Orville Korth of Owen. Orville is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Wm. Korth, formerly of Spencer.
