Fiftieth Anniversary Observed October 4
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hebert Were
Married Fifty Years Ago; Now Reside in Stratford; Well Known Here.
Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Hebert celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family
dinner and open house at their home in Stratford on Sunday, Oct. 4. Sixty guests
attended the dinner served at a flower-appointed table centered with a large
wedding cake. Mr. Hebert was born in Fond du Lac county Nov. 18, 1869 and came
to Marathon county with his parents when he was six years old. Here he later met
and married Florence Aebert, who was born in the county Nov. 15, 1872, at Colby
Oct. 5, 1892. Until 1932 when they moved to Stratford, they resided on a farm.
Three of their eight children are living: Mrs. Earle Cole of Neenah; Charles
Hebert Jr. of Joliet, Ill. and Leo Hebert of Unity. There are 18 grandchildren.
Among the guests who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lester of Campbellsport;
Mrs. Carl Cole and children, Florence and LeRoy of Neenah; Mr. and Mrs. David
Hebert and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hebert and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin
Bernet, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ewert, Mrs. Ida Ewert and son, Wm., Mr. and Mrs. Leo
A. Hebert and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brewer, all of Unity; Mrs. Lawrence Hebert, Mr.
and Mrs. Ernest Hebert, Misses Esther and Genevieve Hebert, Anton Nouse and
Walter Hebert of St. Paul, Minn.; A. L. Burswick and William Williamson of
Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wix of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Hebert of
Chili and Mrs. Louis Hebert of Granton. Mr. and Mrs. Hebert were the recipients
of many gifts from their relatives and friends.
