Berg, Darlene J. (29 JUL 1961)
Darlene Jean Berg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Berg, Route 1, Gilman,
Wis., became the bride of Ervin Glenn Walworth, Medford, Wis., on Saturday, July
29, 1961, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Gilman. Rev. M. Giffert officiated at
the 1:30 p.m. double ring ceremony. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Homer
Walworth, Medford.
Nuptial music included, “O Perfect Love” and “The Lord
is My Shepherd.”
Silk nylon with re-embroidered Chantilly lace appliques
fashioned the bridal gown with a Sabrina neckline, fingertip sleeves and a long
train which was worn in a bustle. The bride’s crown and fingertip veil were
trimmed with sequins and pearls. Mr. Berg gave his daughter in marriage. White
roses and carnations composed the cascade bridal bouquet.
Miss Lois
Walworth, Medford, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Mrs. Alex
Grendzinski, Thorp, sister of the bride, and Miss Anna Kubera, Cadott, served as
bridesmaids. The maid of honor’s gown was pink lace over taffeta with scoop
neckline, puffed sleeves and pink cummerbund. The bridesmaids’ gowns were of
white lace over yellow, green and lavender taffeta with lace cummerbunds and
lace jackets. They wore wristelets of white roses and iris.
Earl Berg,
Gilman, brother of the bride, attended the groom as best man. Ushers were Alex
Grendzinski Jr., Thorp, brother-in-law of the bride; Donald Walworth,
Abbotsford, brother of the groom, and John Benish, Racine. The men were attired
in white dinner jackets and black trousers.
