Anderson, Grant A. (10 May 1899 - 8 October 1966)

Funeral services for Grant A. Anderson, 67, of Neillsville, who died here Saturday, were held Tuesday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. C. J. Mellring of the Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood officiated. Burial was made in the Town of Seif Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born May 10, 1899, in Sister Bay. He attended school in Wisconsin and Illinois and for 20 years worked for Motor Service. On June 1, 1927, he was married to the former Ruth Hagstrom in Chicago, Ill. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson came to Clark County in 1960, residing in the Town of Seif, where he was employed on a mink farm. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Chicago, Ill.

He is survived by his wife; two children, Mrs. Jack (Virginia) Linnerman of Chicago, Ill., and Grant A. Anderson, Jr., of Neillsville; and by three sisters, Mrs. William (Esther) Johnson of Ellison Bay, Mrs. Martin (Edith) Hagstrom of Sarasota, Fla., and Mrs. Helen Jacobson of Hinsdale, Ill.; and by a brother, Arthur Anderson of Hinsdale, Ill. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Fay Burt, Adrian Burt, Ole C. Aspen, Henry Elmhorst, Donald Hoover and Harold Meyer.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Corell, accompanied by Miss Pat Richardson, sang, “Some Golden Daybreak” and “Where We’ll Never Grow Old.”

People from out of town attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Jack Linnerman and family and Mrs. Edna Enstrom of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Anderson of Elmhurst, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Overby of Hillsdale, Ill.; Lou Nelson of Des Plaines, Ill.; William Johnson of Ellison Bay; Mrs. Elmer J. Olson, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hedeen of Sister Bay; Mrs. Leo Chapman and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Corell of Loyal; Pat Richardson and Earl Richardson of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Fay Burt of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Adrian But and Connie But of Pittsville; and Mr. and Mrs. Don Hoover of Granton.
