Braun, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore (45th - 12 October 1966)
Relatives and
friends attended the 45th wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs.
Theodore Braun at their home in Greenwood Saturday evening. Theodore Braun and
the former Emma Myrin were married October 12, 1921, in the West Side Reformed
Church parsonage by the Rev. Otto Vriesen. They operated a cheese factory in
Braun Settlement and in 1947, took over the Brawn Homestead and farmed there
until they retired in 1958, and moved into the city of Greenwood.
Present for the occasion were their two daughters and their husbands, Mr. and
Mrs. Irvin (Shirley) Humke of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. John (Jane) Wittwer of
Cedar Rapids, Ia. Unable to be present were Mr. and Mrs. Allen Braun and
children of Minneapolis.
Others present were: Mr. and Mrs. Harry Baehr of
Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Horn and Gerald, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Noah, Mrs. Clara
Liebzeit, Mr. and Mrs. George Buker, Mrs. Blanche Brawn and Sherri, Mrs. Ida
Horn, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schwarze, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Schwarze, Mr. and Mrs.
Calvin Franz, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie, Mr. and Mrs. George Humke, Mrs. Alfred
Schwarze, Mrs. James Metcalf and Mrs. Alma Mason.
