to Mr. Victor Conley
Ceremony Performed in Christ the King Catholic Church In
Spencer; Rev. Joseph Graf Officiating at High Mass.
Miss Ruth Sersch,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sersch of Spencer, became the bride of Victor
Conley, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Conley of Rockford, Ill., in a 9 o’clock
nuptial ceremony performed in Christ the King Catholic church here on Saturday
morning, Oct. 24 with the Rev. Joseph Graff officiating. The bride was attired
in a street length dress of nile green wool, trimmed with gold, and turf-tan
accessories. She wore a corsage of sweetheart roses and baby mums and carried a
rosary, a gift of the groom. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gehler of Marshfield were the
only attendants. Mrs. Gehler wore a beige wool dress, turf-tan accessories and a
corsage similar to the bride’s.
Mrs. Conley, who was graduated from the
Spencer high school with the class of 1941, for the past two years has been
employed in Rockford. Mr. Conley is also employed in Rockford. A wedding diner
was served to approximately 20 guests at the home of the bride’s parents and a
wedding dance was held. Out of town guests included Miss Viola Conley and Mrs.
Kathryn Conley of Rockford and Miss Violet Walti of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Conley
will make their home in Rockford.
