Kohlnhofer, 74, Greenwood, died on Friday, June 8, 2012, at Ministry Saint
Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on
Friday June 15, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood. Rev. Joseph Follmar
will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation
will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Thursday, June 14 from 4-8 p.m., and
again on Friday from 9:30 a.m., until the time of service.
Carolyn Joy
Koci was born on May 28, 1938, in Phillips, the daughter of Frank Jr. and Julia
(Kroupa) Koci. She attended elementary school in the Phillips and Loyal areas,
and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1956. She then attended Mount Mary
College in Milwaukee for two years. She married Francis Kohlnhofer on June 7,
1958, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. They farmed three miles north
of Greenwood and Carolyn worked as a CNA doing home care in Greenwood. She later
worked at Figi’s in Marshfield until 1992, and then at Citizen’s State Bank in
Loyal, from 1993-2003. She had many interests, but especially loved spending
time with and attending her grandchildren’s events, stamping, making cards, the
casino, traveling and visiting with her many wonderful friends. Carolyn was a
member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and its St. Ann’s Society, the Red Hat
Society, the Clark County Homemakers, and was a former member of the Clark
County Choraliers.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Francis,
Greenwood; three children, Gary (Carol) Kohlnhofer, New Berlin, Renee (Dan)
Slowiak, Thorp, and Scott Kohlnhofer, Greenwood; three grandchildren, Brandon
and Dustin Slowiak, and Laura Kohlnhofer; and two brothers, Robert Koci and
James Koci, both of Sun City, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her
parents and one brother, Frankie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests
that memorials be given in Carolyn’s name for a fiund to be set up at a later
date.
