Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, was the setting for the marriage of Mary Elaine Noeldner and Arlyn Harold Turnquist, Sunday, June 19. The Rev. V. A. Ganz performed the ceremony at 3 p.m.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Noeldner, route 1, Greenwood and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Turnquist. Route 3, Greenwood.

Nathan and Donald Noeldner and Harold Pfohl sang “O Lord Most Holy” & the “Lord’s Prayer” Miss Jean Noeldner was at the organ.

The bride’s gown was of nylon organza made with scooped neckline, short sleeves, very full floor length skirt with brush train with scalloped embroidered edging.

Her fingertip veil in imported silk illusion with scalloped rolled hem-edge was caught to a crown of seed pearls. Crystal earrings and choker, gift of the groom, completed the ensemble. Her flowers were a cascade arrangement of pink roses and white carnations.

She chose for her attendants her four sisters, all of route 1, Greenwood. Miss Carol Noeldner was her maid of honor, Kristine and Beatrice were her bridesmaids and Helen was junior bridesmaid. All gowns and bouquets were identical. Each wore a street length formal of white dacron over pink taffeta, designed with scoop neckline, short puckered sleeves, pink taffeta cummerbund, and dacron overskirt. Puckered, and falling into balloon effect. Each wore an originally designed pink “birdcage” headpiece, and each carried a nosegay of pink roses, white carnations and swansonia.

James Turnquist as best man, and John and Robert Turnquist, as groomsmen, were attendants for their brother, all of route 3, Greenwood.

Ushers were Martin Zichert, Greenwood, and Gary Oswald, Greenwood, cousins of the groom. Corrine Turnquist, sister of the groom, was flower girl and Hans Noeldner, brother of the bride, was ring-bearer.

A reception and banquet were held in the parish hall with 200 guests present.

Mrs. Turnquist is a graduate of the Loyal High School and attended Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa. She has been employed at the Chamber of Com., Marshfield. Her husband is a graduate of the Greenwood High School and will be a senior at Eau Claire State College this year.

When they return from a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin they will live in Eau Claire at 511 Dodge St.

Guests came to the wedding from Berkley, California; Minneapolis, Minn.; Greenwood; Cadot; Chippewa Falls; Mayville; Thersa; Wausau; Eau Claire; Marshfield; Milwaukee. Colfax; Seneca; and Loyal.
