Mrs. John Pietenpol spent Thursday afternoon of last week with Mrs. Cornwell.
Mrs. Ackerman entertained several friends at a quilting last week.
We
suppose it seems strange to the readers of this paper who live out of the state
when they read of the snow being so deep and then all going so soon. But the
snow was light and it didn’t thaw all winter, so it wasn’t packed hard, only
where it was walked on, and for that reason it all went in a hurry.
Truman Davis sold a registered Holstein yearling bull to Mr. Gilbert from near
Spokeville.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Lee entertained the T.P.E.W. and Ara Lee
families, also Mr. Howard Erwin and family, on Sunday.
Frant Osgood was
on the sick list several days this week.
Geo. Ehlert from Columbia was
here testing cows from the Granton cow testing association.
The Myron
Osgood and Kearney Davis families were guests of their father Frant Osgood last
Sunday.
Loy Lawrence and family spent Sunday and pa and ma Huntley’s.
Eldred and Lucille Davis attended the surprise party given Elsie Dorst last
Saturday evening.
Louis Root came down from Colfax and spent a few days
with his mother.
Marjorie and Josephine Pietenpol attended a birthday
party for Echo Winn Saturday afternoon.
Word was received that Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Tischer of ??egon have a new baby girl.
Our cheese factory runs
every day now.
Mrs. Geo. Crow and children Truman Davis and family spent
Sunday afternoon at J.W. Pietenpol’s.
Walter Rowe put up a new building
on his farm in which his hired man will live this summer.
Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Whitcomb moved their household goods to their new home on the Walter
Rowe farm.
Mrs. Arthur Phipps entertained the Social Club Thursday.
