Grandma Hagedorn, who
maiden name was Louise Sommer, died Friday, April 20, 1917 (on the 6th
anniversary of her son Julius’ death) at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs.
Maria Hagedorn. Deceased was aged 95 years, 6 months and 6 days, and death
resulted from a fractured and dislocated hip that she sustained from a fall on
Easter Sunday. Her birth place was in Brandenburg, Germany, where, also, she was
married to her husband, Johann Hagedorn, who died in said place 35 years ago.
Her children living are: Mrs. Adolphina Schultz of Miles City, Mont., Mrs.
Augusta Destinon of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Bertha Klueckman of here. A daughter,
Mrs. Caroline Bresemeister, who resided in Minnesota, and her son Julius have
passed to the great beyond. The funeral of Grandma Hagedorn was held Monday
afternoon at the Lutheran Church. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Grap and son Melvin of
Wausau, and Mrs. Destinon of Milwaukee were here for the funeral.
