Mr. and Mrs. Ken Green and Christ of River
Falls spent Sunday at the Gibson Gile home.
Mmes. Mildred Olson and Mary
Dagnon and Bert Hanby spent the weekend in Gays Mills visiting relatives of Mrs.
Dagnon.
Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Olver and family of La Crosse were weekend
guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Olver and Mr. and Mrs. C. A.
Mallory.
John and Larry Anger enjoyed a pheasant hunting trip to
Whitehall Saturday. They report the birds were very scarce.
Mrs. Gibson
Gile left Thursday evening for Houston, Tex., where she will visit Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Hagerman and family and attend the Texas Grand chapter of the Order of
the Eastern Star. Mrs. Gile is Grand Representative of the State of Texas in the
Wisconsin Grand Chapter. Friends here will remember Mrs. Hagerman as the former
Emily Rush of Merrillan.
Matt Anderson accompanied his aunt, Shirley
Hagen of Black River Falls, to Altoona, where they spent the weekend as guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hagen.
Mr. and Mrs. Merlon Mikelson and family of
Mondovi visited the Robert Olson and Bob Linder families Sunday afternoon.
Friends here will be interested to know the Mikelsons have added a new member to
their family, a son, David, who was born in August. Mr. Mikelson is a former
member of the Merrillan Grade School faculty.
A reminder that the
Merrillan W. S. C. S. will hold their annual bazaar and fall dinner today
(Thursday); serving will begin at 4:30 p.m. The bazaar table and candy booth
will be open in the afternoon for anyone wishing to browse through the items.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Linder and family of St. Paul were weekend guests of
Mrs. Anna Linda and Alvina, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Linder. Sunday afternoon
Mrs. Lucille Van Gorden of Neillsville was a guest at the Linder homes.
