Sam Cook’s birthday early this week afforded his daughters and
their relatives just the excuse they were looking for to give Sam one of the
best surprise parties ever and which proved a most pleasurable occasion for all
concerned.
Wm. Dux of Pine Valley has purchased the W.W. Page farm and
Warren Page will be up from Waupun the first of the week to see his mother moved
into her new home within the city of Neillsville on the North side.
Mr.
and Mrs. Dan Hughes are expected up from Madison next week on a visit to
relatives. Dan has volunteered to go into the Agricultural Dept. of the
government service as a county agent if called or accepted.
Mr. Richard
Kurth entertained the Ladies Aid of Rev. Reiff’s parish last Wednesday.
The Larkin Club will meet with Mrs. Walter Gerhardt today, Friday, in the
afternoon.
Mrs. Otto Hantke, with her nice Miss Hilda Kurth, will go to
Milwaukee tomorrow, Saturday, on a visit to Mr. and Mrs. E. Krueger, Grandpa
Hantke and other relatives.
