ELEANOR EDBLOM IS WED
TO NORMAN MELLENTHIN
Arthur Edblom of Unity announces the marriage of his
daughter, Eleanor, to Norman Mellenthin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mellenthin of
Spencer, in a 5 o’clock candlelight ceremony performed in the Trinity Lutheran
church at Unity Saturday afternoon, Dec. 12, with the Rev. J. A. Olson
officiating. Mrs. Olson played the wedding march, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Alexander,
brotherinlaw and sister of the bride, attended the couple. Both the bride and
her sister attendant were attired in brown crepe dresses and carried bouquets of
gold pompons.
Supper was served to immediate relatives and closest
friends at the home of the groom’s parents, where Mr. and Mrs. Mellenthin will
reside. Decorations were carried out in a gold and white color scheme. The groom
was graduated from the Spencer high school with the class of 1939 and is engaged
in farming. His bride attended the Colby high school.
