Kohel, Carol Ann (Marriage - 19 November 1966)
Nuptial
vows were exchanged Saturday in the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of
Grant, uniting in marriage Carol Ann Kohel of Granton, and David Martin Hillert
of Rt. 1 Granton. Rev. Evan Dieck, performed the double ring ceremony, before an
altar graced with baskets of yellow and bronze chrysanthemums.
Parents of
the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Alton Schmidtke and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hillert. Mr.
Schmidtke gave his daughter in marriage.
The bride entered the church
wearing a tan bonded wool A-line suit, trimmed with black velvet. A white
cream-puff blouse with a stand-up collar enhanced the suit. Black Accessories
completed her bridal ensemble. A corsage of miniature Orange roses was pinned to
her shoulderline.
Mrs. William Dankemyer, Jr., of Chili was matron of
honor. She was attired in a blue bonded suit, with black accessories. A blouse
similar to that of the bride also enhanced her suit.
The best man was
Donald Hillert of Mondovi. Ushers were John Hillert and William Dankemyer, Jr.
The wedding processional, “O Perfect Love” was played by Mrs. Leland
Garbisch. William Chambers of Loyal sang, “The Wedding Prayer” and “The Lord’s
Prayer.”
Mr. and Mrs. Hillert are graduates of Granton High School. They
are residing on Rt. 1 Granton, where Mr. Hillert is engaged in farming.
