Guests Sunday of Mrs. Anna Neville, were Mrs. Evan Hatton
and grandchildren of rural Greenwood, and Mrs. Emma Michels and Mrs. Clara
Lastofka of Alma Center.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Nublicek of Milwaukee visited
Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Backaus and family.
The
American Legion Auxiliary of the Wilson-Heintz Post is planning to hold its
annual Christmas party Monday, December 5, in the Legion Hall. Members will
exchange 50 cent gifts.
Mrs. Lewis Scholtz was a Sunday dinner guest of
Mrs. Clark Brooks in Lynn.
Mr. and Mrs. Keith Counsell and family left
Sunday morning for their home in Detroit, Mich., after spending Thanksgiving and
the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Scholtz. Charles Scholtz of
Germantown also was a weekend guest at the parental home.
Mr. and Mrs.
Bergen Smith have returned from a two-week visit with their son-in-law and
daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Donn Mueller and family, Dr. and Mrs. Mueller, who are
the parents of a two and one-half year old adopted daughter, Donna Maria, have
adopted a little brother for Donna. On the way to and from St. Louis, Mr. and
Mrs. Smith were overnight guests of their son, Oakley Smith and family, in
Rockford, Ill. Enroute home they also visited their children and families in
Milwaukee.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Smith and family of Milwaukee were
weekend guests at the Bergen Smith and Melford Williams homes.
S/Sgt.
Arlo Smith, who has been spending a two-week leave with his wife and his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bergen Smith, plans to leave Friday for Truax air field
near Madison, where he will be stationed.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim West were
weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Goke and family in Darlington.
Thanksgiving guests at the Sanford Dehart home in the Town of Levis were Mr. and
Mrs. Larry Dehart and three children of Pekin, Ill., Mrs. Sharon Zarley and son
of Peoria, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. John Bredlau and two children of Harvard, Ill., an
d Mr. and Mrs. James Filitz and two daughters of the Town of Levis.
Donald and Rodney Freedlund of Rockford, Ill, got their buck the first morning
of the hunting season in Sherwood.
