Ustianowski, Mr./Mrs. Wasyl (Gold - 2 SEP 1961)
Mr. and Mrs. Wasyl
Ustianowski of Lublin, Wis. celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on
Saturday, Sept. 2nd, 1961. The day began with a ten a.m. Mass at Ukrainian Holy
Ghost Orthodox Church, Thorp, Wis., said by a Father from St. Paul.
Mrs.
Ustianowski wore a beige lace dress with golden orchid corsage and in the
evening wore a corsage of yellow tea roses. Her husband wore a medium gray suit
and a carnation boutonniere.
A breakfast was served to 138 guests at the
church hall with Mrs. Olga Knusta as the cook and Lottie Szemraj, Anna
Kaczmarek, Frances and Virginia Ustianowski as waitresses. A supper for 225
guests was served at Sciezor’s Hall, Lublin by Mrs. Marion Sciezor.
The
couple’s five sons, Alex, Phil, Aloise, John and Mike, four daughters, Marge,
Mary, Ann and Stella, 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren all were
present for the occasion.
Out of town guests were from Harvey,
Bensenville and Chicago, Ill. Also present were Mrs. Ustianowski’s sister, Mrs.
Clem Sorochtey of Chicago, and Mrs. Ustianowski, brother Elko and wife, who was
their bridesmaid 50 years ago. The couple received many lovely gifts and
telegrams.
