Otto Hakola, a town of
Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) farmer, passed away at the age of 79. Funeral
services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at Bethany Lutheran
Church, Owen, Wis., with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Hakola was
born in Finland, coming to America at the age of 16, living in Minnesota and
Michigan before settling on a farm in the town of Reseburg 46 years ago. He also
was a plasterer and brick layer by trade, building many chimneys and plastering
many houses in this area.
Surviving are five sons, Everett, Bloomington,
Calif., George, Whitehall, Mont., Arthur, Loyal, Walfred, Veterans Hospital,
Madison, Cliffert, on the home farm, seven grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren. His wife Jenney passed away six months ago.
