Frank
Kucynda, a retired Lublin farmer, died Friday, Oct. 13th, 1961 at the Medford
Hospital where he had been a patient since Oct. 9. He was 76 years old.
Funeral services were held Monday morning, Oct. 16th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s
Russian Orthodox Church in Lublin, Rev. L. Saraka officiating, and burial was in
the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Wasylko, Mat Sweda, Ambrose
Balaczak, Paul Patrusek, John Wasylko and Andrew Kiscz. Nieces and nephews from
Chicago and Joliet Ill. attended the rites.
Born March 15, 1884 in
Austria, Mr. Kucynda came to this country in 1912, settling in Pennsylvania. He
came to the Lublin area in 1917 and farmed until his retirement in 1951, when he
moved to the village of Lublin.
He is survived by his wife, nee Anna
Oylowick, whom he married 55 years ago in Pennsylvania. One child died in
infancy.
