Nero, Mary (24 June 1874 - 9 December 1966)

Mrs. Mary Nero, 92, of Greenwood, formerly of Illinois, died suddenly of a heart attack last Friday afternoon at the Bethel Convalescent Home in Arpin.

She was born June 24, 1874, in Italy. Her husband died 10 years ago. After the death of her husband, she came to Greenwood to reside with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Dallman, until she went to the Bethel Convalescent Home, six years ago.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William (Lucille) Dallman, now of Cochrane and formerly of Greenwood; and a son, James Nero of Brandon, Fla.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The body was at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood and was taken to Illinois Sunday morning. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from Mount Carmel Catholic Church, in Melrose Park, Ill. Burial was made in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Ill.
