1966)
Miss Therese Joanne Hannan of Denver, Colo., exchanged nuptial vows
in a double ring ceremony at noon last Saturday with Charles Anthony Vesel, also
of Denver, Colo. The Rev. Edward Bertz of La Crosse, cousin of the bride,
officiated at the nuptial high mass in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.
Bouquets of white chrysanthemums flanked either side of the altar. The church
choir furnished the music.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ray
Hannan of Rt. 2, Loyal, and John Vesel of Greenwood and the late Mrs. Vesel.
The bride chose a white gown of embroidered Alencon lace, styled with a
Bateau neckline edged with a scalloped pattern of lace. Double-tier, flared
sleeves accentuated the fitted empire bodice. The soft A-line skirt was detailed
at the hemline by a deep scallop border of lace. Her lace peau de Soie Camelot
headpiece was secured to a cathedral-length veil of white silk illusion. She
carried a bridal bouquet of white orchids arranged against eucalyptus leaves.
Her maid of honor was her sister; Miss Annette Hannan of San Francisco,
Cal. Bridesmaid was Miss Karen Burns, a friend of Chicago, Ill.
The
attendants wore long A-line dresses of cerise-colored chiffon. Their elegant
empire bodices were accented with scoop necklines and long pouf sleeves.
Matching three-tiered illusion headpieces and shoes completed their ensembles.
Each carried a duchess bouquet of “Forever Yours” roses.
Brian Moore of
Madison was best man. Groomsman was Robert Putz of Milwaukee. Ushers were Paul
Burreau of Milwaukee and Ralph Landini of Greenwood.
The bride is a 1961
graduate of the Spencerian College in Milwaukee and has been employed as a free
lance court reporter in San Francisco, Cal. She is affiliated with Pui Rho Zeta
Sorority.
Mr. Vesel, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin is a
district sales representative of a Milwaukee manufacturing firm. His fraternity
is Delta Upsilon.
Mr. and Mrs. Vesel are spending their wedding trip in
Aspen, Colo., skiing. They will reside at 370 East 11th Ave. Denver, Colo.
