Miss Arlene Amelia Wundrow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Wundrow, R. 1, Boyd, became the bride of Junior James Gilbert, Stanley, son of Mrs. Nellie Gilbert, on Saturday, Nov. 11, 1961, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Boyd. Father Kimberly of Columbus, Ohio, performed the ten a.m. double ring ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of Gossamer sheer tulle with Chantilly lace trim. A Sabrina neckline of Chantilly lace with sequin trim and long traditional tapered sleeves accented the fitted basque. The bouffant skirt of Gossamer sheer tulle was designed with a pattern of lace. She carried a prayer book with orchid and stephanotis.

Betty Lou Wundrow was her sister’s maid of honor, wearing a royal blue sheath dress with bustle overskirt. Bridesmaids were Diane Richards and Boot Zubal, both friends of the bride, wearing similar dresses to the maid of honor’s in light blue. They each wore net headpieces and shoes dyed to match their dresses. They all carried cascade bouquets of blue and white carnations and wore pearl earrings.

Miss Debbie Geist, cousin of the bride, was flower girl, and Daniel Wundrow, brother of the bride, was ring bearer.

Ronald Wundrow, brother of the bride, was best man, and groomsmen and ushers were Leslie Wundrow, brother of the bride, Alan Thierl, Raymond geist and Donald Nye.

A dinner was held at St. Joseph’s Church basement and a reception for 300 guests was held a the Legion Hall in Boyd from 1 to 4 o’clock.

The bride’s mother attended her daughter’s wedding wearing a tan wool sheath with green and brown accessories. The groom’s mother wore a black and white tweed suit with black accessories, and each wore a corsage of red roses.

The groom is employed at Acme Steel Co., Stanley, and the new Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert will make their home at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
