Slota, Pauline (23 AUG 1892 - 3 DEC 1961)
Mrs. Pauline Slota, 69, passed away at the Vernon Memorial Hospital at
Viroqua, Wis., on Dec. 3, 1961, after a lingering illness. She had been residing
there with her son Robert and family since the death of her husband John Slota
at Thorp in May 1960.
The former Pauline Sloboda was born Aug. 24, 1892.
She was united in marriage to John Slota on Aug. 23, 1909 at Stanley, Wis. She
had lived in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) most of her future life with the exception
of a period at Junction City, Wis.
She was a member of the Thorp Lady
Foresters Organization.
She is survived by three sons, Phillip of
Medford, Arthur of Verona, Wis., and Robert of Viroqua; two daughter, Ruth, Mrs.
Henry Sierocuk of Thorp and Rita, Mrs. Roger Lawrence of Sussex, Wis., two
brothers, Mike Sloboda of Stanley and Joe Sloboda of Michigan.
Funeral
services for the deceased were conducted by Rev. Ed Masalewicz at St. Hedwig’s
Chapel in Thorp Wednesday morning, Dec. 6th at ten o’clock and interment took
place in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank and Henry Sierocuk,
Julius Morgan, Walter Baldeschwiler, Art Szymanski and John Zdrojkowski.
