Meier, Arthur George (15 July 1914

Arthur George Meier, 52, of Neillsville, died here
Tuesday. Funeral services are to be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. from St.
John‘s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff will officiate.
Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The body will be taken
from the Georgas Funeral Home to the church one hour before the services.
Mr. Meier was born July 15, 1914 in Clark County and was the son of the late
Adolph Meier and Mrs. Christine Meier of Memorial Home. He was married on
November 3, 1935, to the former Bessie Rizner in Neillsville.
He had been
employed at the former American Stores Dairy plant in Neillsville and also
worked for the county highway department before his retirement due to failing
health.
Mr. Meier is survived by his wife and the following children:
Arthur Meier, Jr., of Crystal Lake, Ill.; Mrs. Frederick (Betty) Dux of
Neillsville; Ronald Meier of Crystal Lake, Ill.; Mrs. Gayle (Annette)
Schoengarth of Janesville; Mrs. Donald (Judy) Zank of Janesville; and Raymond
Meier with the Marines in Vietnam. Other survivors are his mother, Mrs.
Christine Meier of Memorial Home; three sisters, Mrs. Albert (Ella) Meihak and
Mrs. Fritz (Dorothy) Quast, both of Neillsville, and Mrs. Harold (Helen) Beyer
of Stoughton; six brothers, Ed of Neillsville, William of Merrill, Frank of
Salem, Ore., Louie, Clarence and Charles all of the Neillsville area.
