Jepsen, Holger L. (4 June 1880 - 31 December 1966)
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the United Church of Christ
in Pray for Holger L. Jepsen, 86, of Pray, who died here Saturday. The Rev.
James Swerg of Pittsville officiated and burial was made in the City Point
Cemetery.
Mr. Jepsen was born June 4, 1880, in Denmark. He received his
education there before coming to Green Bay 66 years ago. He later located in
Pray.
Mr. Jepsen worked for many years as a section foreman for the Green
Bay & Western Railroad, was town clerk for over 45 years for the towns of Hiles
and City Point. He served as secretary for the Modern Woodmen of America and was
on the school board and town health board for many terms.
He was married
May 8, 1908, to the former Martha Peterson in Winona, Minn. Mrs. Jepsen died in
1938.
Surviving are 10 children: Miss Agnes Jepsen of Stevens Point, Mrs.
Raymond (Christine) Kirsch of West Allis, Mrs. Basil (Bernice) O’Reilly of
Marshfield, Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret) Dux of Stoughton, Harold of Stevens Point,
Lyngaard of Vesper, Henning of Milwaukee, Bernard and Woodrow of Green Bay and
Eugene of Neillsville. Other survivors include 33 grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas
Funeral Home in Neillsville.
