Neillsville Locals (26 January

Dr. and Mrs. John O’Meara of Durand, and Miss Ada Quinnell of Eau
Claire, were guests Sunday of their sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Crothers. In the
afternoon Mrs. Crothers and her guests drove to Marshfield to visit a niece. The
O’Mearas and Miss Quinnell were overnight guests of Mrs. Crothers.
Monday afternoon guests of Mrs. Ole Larsen were Mr. and Mrs. Soren Larsen of
Alma Center, Mr. and Mrs. Linus Prock and Mrs. Rose Eberhardt.
Dan
Schield, who attends Wisconsin State University - Eau Claire, left Wednesday to
resume his studies after spending a week’s mid-semester vacation with his
parents, Dr. and Mrs. Carroll N. Schield and family.
Guests of Mrs. Otto
Hainzelsperger Monday were Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Hainzelsperger and two daughters
of Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. George Schneider and son of Coby.
Mr. and
Mrs. Gary Ruzic and daughters of Milwaukee were dinner guests Sunday of her
brother, Freddie Grap, and family.
Mrs. Vivian Hagie of Dells Dam
accompanied her son, Donald, to Oshkosh Sunday, where she plans an indefinite
stay.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Noll of Eau Claire became the parents by
adoption of a son January 20. He has been named Robert. Mr. and Mrs. Noll have a
son of their own and another adopted son. The Nolls are former Neillsville
residents.
Mrs. Leo Gross and son, John spent the weekend in Watertown
with their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Zank.
Bruce Carl left
Friday to spend the week at the Paul L. Damson home in Oregon.
Mrs. Neva
Yorkston returned home last week from Milwaukie, Ore., where she spent three
weeks with her son, Robert Yorkston, and family.
Fred Marg of the Globe
area was a dinner guest Sunday at the Herb Bardeleben home. In the afternoon he
visited Mrs. Marg, who is a patient in Memorial Hospital. She has pneumonia.
Mrs. Tom Cummings and infant daughter are planning to leave next week for
Okinawa to join her husband.
Mrs. Agnes Cummings is spending some time on
her daughter’s farm near Alma Center. She plans to leave in February for Alaska
for an indefinite visit with another daughter and family.
Mr. and Mrs.
Alfred Dux and son, Jeff, and Miss Connie Lonning, were weekend guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Kenneth Dux and family in Stoughton.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Ruddock of West Allis spent the weekend at the Mrs. Frank Ruddock home and
visited Mrs. Ruddock in Memorial Home. They also visited his sister, Mrs. Bill
Hrasky, and family.
Mr. and Mrs. William Tullis of Waukesha were house
guests from Friday until Monday of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Scholtz.
Mrs. Clark
Brooks of Lynn is receiving medical care in Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. M. E.
Bennett was hostess to her bridge club Monday afternoon.
