Abel, Mary Lydia (17 January 1890 - 20 January 1967)
Funeral services
were held from the Methodist Church in Greenwood Monday afternoon for Mrs.
Gustave Abel, 76, life-long resident of Greenwood who died Friday at her home.
She had been in failing health for several years. The Rev. Carl Booher
officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
The former Mary
Lydia Wehrman was born January 17, 1890, in the Town of Warner. She was married
to Gustave Abel on June 22, 1911, in Greenwood. They farmed northwest of
Greenwood until retiring a few years ago, when they moved into Greenwood.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Norman (Selma) Geisler of
Owen, and Marcella and Elsie, both at home; three grandchildren and a
great-grandchild.
The Hill Funeral Home was in charge of funeral
arrangements.
